Join the Official Pandanda Blogroll!

Hey Pandanda bloggers (and prospective bloggers!)

Now is a great time to submit your Pandanda blog for the Official Pandanda Blogroll! I added 15 blogs to the Blogroll on Monday, and I would love to add more. I'm looking forward to giving special recognition to excellent blogs in 2012!

To be considered for the Official Pandanda Blogroll, your blog must meet these requirements:

1. The blog has been active for at least one month.
2. The blog is updated at least once per week.
3. The blog must be about Pandanda, with only a very few mentions of any other games.
4. The blog must have a link to www.pandanda.com on the main page.
5. The blog must not contain inappropriate content.

To request that your blog be added to the Official Pandanda Blogroll, send an email to support@pandanda.com with BLOGROLL in the subject line. Make sure to include your blog’s URL, the name you want the Blogroll to show for your blog, and any special information you think we should know about your blog.

The Pandanda Team will visit each blog to decide if it meets the requirements. If it does, the blog will be added to the Blogroll. If some of the requirements are missing from your blog, the Team will send you an email letting you know what you need to do to meet the requirements. We look forward to adding your blog to the Official Pandanda Blogroll!

Pandanda Holiday Treehouses Album

Hello, Panda Friends!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and awesome weekend! The Christmas Gift is still there under the big Christmas tree in Bear Hollow, if you haven't gotten it yet. It is something new and unique; there has never been one in Pandanda before - an animated player card Background! I think it's really cool, and I hope you do, too!

I've been showing you how some of the Pandanda Moderators have decorated their treehouses for the holidays. Mod Jozie sent me a picture of hers over the weekend - check it out!

Thank you to everyone who has sent in a picture of their own holiday trees! You can see the awesome decorative skills of some of your friends in this Pandanda Holiday Treehouse album. Just click the link to view the album.

And it's not too late to show off your holiday treehouse! Just send us a screenshot of your treehouse that shows the entire screen, all the way from your Panda name in the top left corner to your backpack in the bottom right corner. Christmas Caroling ROCKS!

Oh boy, I had an awesome time singing Christmas songs with you around the Christmas Tree in Bear Hollow today! It really helped get me into the Christmas spirit! Everyone was having such a good time, and you all looked spectacular in your Christmas outfits!

I took a whole bunch of pictures during my visits. Here are some of the best ones. Can you figure out which songs we are singing?

Christmas Outfits and Caroling with Henry on Friday!

Oooh, Christmas is getting closer and closer! I can hardly wait!

One of the things that really gets me in the Christmas Spirit is dressing up in a Christmas outfit and singing Christmas carols with my friends. Won't you join me tomorrow in Bear Hollow as we sing Christmas songs around the huge tree there?  I will be caroling in Pandanda at 7:00am Pandanda Time, then again at 7:00pm Pandanda Time on Friday, December 23rd.

I hear you asking, "Which server?" All of them! I will join you in a song or two on Willow at the beginning of the hour, then move to Oak for a couple of songs, and continue that way to Maple, Poplar, Cedar, and Palm. After a couple of songs on Palm, if there is time left, I will head back to Willow.

So don't worry if you can't get into Bear Hollow on Willow at 7am or 7pm Pandanda Time. If you go to one of the other servers, you will be there when I arrive! You'll just have to try to be patient (pretend you are waiting for Santa Claus!) While you are waiting, you can practice some of the carols we will be singing - Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Deck the Halls, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas are some of them!

This is something we've never tried in Pandanda, but I think it will be fun! I can't wait to see everyone decked out in their best Christmas clothes, gathered around the tree, and singing songs of the season!

Snowman Day with Sheriff Steele

Brrrrrr! Does it seem extra-cold in Pandanda today? It must be because of all the snowmen hopping around for Snowman Day! You can be a Snowman today, too! Just collect 5 Stocking Stuffers and trade them to Chilly the Snowman for his Frosty Potion. Drink that potion and you'll be a Snowman!

Snowmen move pretty slowly, but they can dance and jump! And Snowmen look REALLY cool when they jump! Try it for yourself, and see what I mean!

Sheriff Steele has made his first visit of the day, and he had a great time chatting with pandas on Willow and Oak. He doesn't get to visit Pandanda very often, so when he does, he likes to see as many different pandas as possible! And even though he can't add friends to his list, he wants you all to know that he considers all of the citizens of Pandanda as his friends!

I promised Sheriff that I would post some pictures from his morning visit, so here they are:

Sheriff Steele will be visiting again today at 5pm Pandanda Time. He hopes to see lots of jolly Snowmen on his visit, and to meet more awesome Panda friends!

Sheriff Steele to Visit for Snowman Day!

Thank you to everyone who sent in an entry for the Festive Photo with Your Friends Contest. All of the entries have been downloaded, and the judges now have the very hard job of picking a winner. The winner of the contest will be announced on Christmas Eve, December 24th, right here in my Blog. Good luck!

Tomorrow is Snowman Day in Pandanda. Trade 5 Stocking Stuffers to Chilly the Snowman for his Frosty Potion, and turn yourself into a Snowman! Sheriff Steele is planning to take a break from his busy schedule to visit Pandanda at 7:30am Pandanda Time, and again at 5pm Pandanda Time. He wants to see lots and lots of Snowmen during his visits, and he has promised to take pictures that I can post in my Blog.

The Pandanda Moderators have been telling me about the beautifully decorated treehouses they have seen. I got a peek at some in the contest photos that were sent in, and I want to see more! If you are proud of your holiday-decorated home, take a screenshot and send it to screenshots@pandanda.com. Make sure to send the entire screen of your treehouse, from your Panda name in the top left corner all the way to your backpack in the bottom right corner - we don't want to miss a thing! Festive Photo Contest Deadline Coming Up!

Hey there, Holiday pals!

It seems like the Winter Festival has gotten off to a great start! Pandanda looks so festive with all of the greenery and lights against the snow. I am really starting to get into the Christmas spirit!

I wanted to remind you that you have today and tomorrow to send in your Festive Photo with Your Friends contest entry. Any entries received after11:59pm PST on Sunday, December 18th will not be entered in the contest. You can click that link to see what the deadline is where you live.Don't wait until the last minute!

We have seen many more eligible entries come in since I updated you about some important contest rules on Wednesday. It really does make a difference if you follow all of the rules! Don't forget to include your panda name in your email!

This Tuesday, December 20th will be Snowman Day! Collect as many stocking stuffers as you can between now and Tuesday so you can get lots of Frosty Potions from Chilly the Snowman. We are going to fill Pandanda with snowpandas! Check out this picture from last year's snowman invasion:

I'm going to ask Sheriff Steele if he can drop in on Snowman Day. I've told him that lots of pandas want to see him, and this would be a great day for a visit! I'll let you know what he says!

On Friday, December 23rd - Christmas Eve Eve - it will be Christmas Outfit Day. Put on your most Christmasy clothes, then join your friends around the big Christmas Tree in Bear Hollow to sing Christmas songs!

Woo hoo! Winter Festival!

Pandanda is blanketed with snow, the gigantic Christmas tree is up in Bear Hollow, Christmas decorations are everywhere, and holiday music is playing - it must be Winter Festival time!

Collect Stocking Stuffers from all over Pandanda (except in treehouses), then visit Chilly the Snowman at West Market Street to trade them for his cool prizes! And make sure to visit Mr. Elmhurst to do his Winter Fest Quest. He has the first of the special Quests that will be available during Winter Fest.

Winter Festival Starts Tomorrow!

 

I can already feel the temperature dropping, and the snow clouds are starting to gather. I expect to see Pandanda covered with snow for the start of the Winter Festival tomorrow! The townspeople are ready to "Deck the Halls" with Christmas decorations, and the delivery of a huge and beautifully decorated Christmas Tree has been arranged for Bear Hollow. There will even be festive holiday music!

Chilly the Snowman will be back to trade his awesome holiday prizes for the Stocking Stuffers you will collect from all over Pandanda. Almost all of Chilly's prizes will be available to every player. There will also be some holiday items added to the Clothing Catalog and House & Tree Catalog for Elite members, so make sure to check those out!

In addition to collecting Stocking Stuffers to trade to Chilly, there will be some extra holiday-themed Quests for you to do each day. So you should have plenty to do to keep you moving and warm, even in the snow!

Festive Photo with Your Friends Contest Update

Hi Panda Pals!

You still have 4 more days (5, if you count today) to send in your entries for the Festive Photo with Your Friends Contest! We have seen some really awesome and creative photos so far, and we look forward to seeing even more!

I do want to remind everyone of some of the contest rules. Many of the entries we have received are not eligible to be chosen as the winner because they did not follow the Rules of the Contest.

1. Your entry must be sent from the email address that your Pandanda account is registered to. An easy way to make sure you are using the right address is to use the "I forgot my password" link at the bottom of the login page. When you submit your email address there, you will receive an email with the names and passwords of all of the accounts that are registered to that email address. If you don't see an account that you expect to see, it means that you used a different email address to register that account. This is one of the reasons it is SO important to keep a record of the address you use when you create an account, and to also make sure that you use a real address, and type it correctly when you sign up.

2. Digitally edited or enhanced photos will not be accepted. You can zoom in and crop your screenshot, but that is all. Your entry should be a single screenshot of a scene in Pandanda with you and one or more of your friends and other pandas. Collages and photos with added text, borders, frames, and other decorations are not acceptable entries.

3. You may send in 1 picture each day. If you send in more than one picture on a day, that entry will be disqualified.

So, what can you do if you think you sent in an entry that did not follow those rules? You can certainly make changes to your entry, and send it to us again. If you made a collage or edited your photo, go back to your original screenshot and send it to us with no edits. If you sent us a bunch of pictures on one day, you can send those same pictures again, but this time, choose the very best ones and send just ONE each day for the rest of the contest. If you sent your entry from the wrong email address, send it again from the right address.

If you have questions about the contest, you can send them to contest@pandanda.com. Remember to include your Panda name in your email message when you send your photo to contest@pandanda.com. We have to know which Panda to award the prize to if you win! Good luck to everyone!

Winter Festival Starts Thursday!

Hi Friends!

The Pandanda Winter Festival begins in just 3 days! The Pandanda townspeople are working hard to get their holiday decorations ready.  I was checking the Pandanda weather forecast for this week, and it looks like there is a very good chance that we will get lots more snow! I bet it will be just in time for the Winter Festival.

During the Winter Fest you will collect stocking stuffers that will appear all around Pandanda, then trade them for awesome Winter prizes. It will be 20 days of Wintery Fun!

We've started to get lots of entries in the Festive Photo with Your Friends Contest. You can click that link to read all about how to enter the contest. You have until 11:59pm PST on Sunday, December 18th to email us your pictures.

Please make sure to read the rules of the contest very carefully. If your entry does not follow all of the rules, it will not be entered in the contest.

Game Day Today!

Hooray, it's Pandanda Game Day again! You can win double Coins for every multiplayer game you play today - Pen the Pig, Line4, Bunny Chase, and Ghosts of Misty Hill.

You also have a chance to win lots of Panda Gold from Moderators and me in special games of Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill! The Mods and I will be hosting as many games as we can squeeze in between the hours of 6am-1pm Pandanda Time,  2-3pm Pandanda Time,  4-7pm Pandanda Time, and during my final visit from 8-9pm Pandanda Time.  

Remember, there are a couple of special rules for Game Day Panda Gold games. On Game Day you can only win Gold once from each Moderator. They will each keep a list of the pandas they have awarded Gold to.

The other rule is "no potions", but that's always a rule when you play for Panda Gold!

I will be visiting Pandanda at 6am Pandanda Time,  8am Pandanda Time,  12pm Pandanda Time then once more at 8pm Pandanda Time. You can click on each link to see what time it will be where you live.
